La Bohème on free streaming from Turin Teatro Regio until April 20th
The Opera Platform
The Opera Platform, the European online platform created for sharing the best international opera productions, is running into its second year of activity.
Turin Teatro Regio
Among the 21 operas made available since the website inception, Verdi’s Aida at the Turin Teatro Regio, conducted by Gianandrea Noseda and directed by the Oscar winner William Friedkin, which opened the 2015-2016 season, was the second most seen, with an audience of about 80,000 spectators in Europe and US. Extra contents such as videos created by the Teatro Regio as well as interviews, backstage, presentations and highlights shown through the ’Pearls of Passion’ were seen over 18,000 times.
The only Italian theater to be part of The Opera Platform
A great result for the Turin Teatro Regio, the only Italian theater to be part of The Opera Platform, alongside other 15 major European theaters such as the Wiener Staatsoper, the Teatro Real in Madrid and the Royal Opera House in London.
A project supported by the EC

The platform makes opera available in three languages: English, French and German and offers free complete operas, extracts of many productions, interviews and ‘behind-the-scenes’.
A new opera in free streaming every month
